Accidental Projects

Vinyl Wall Decor

You will need 6-9 square picture frames.

Any color vinyl (I used black). Choose your design and cut it out. I used a Cricut but you can also use an exacto knife.

Place your cut image on the inside of your glass. Be sure to clean the glass so its free of fingerprints and dust.

Use a towel to press the image to the glass. This is so you don't get any fingerprints on the glass. Place them on the wall. I cut paper squares to figure out how to arrange my pics first.

Once you have them arranged, hang them on the wall.

Paperclip Bookmarks

You will need:
Large paper clips (I found them at Staples)
Scallop Punch
Circle Punch
Colored Paper
White Paper
Stamps
Markers / Colored Pencils to color stamped images
Large 3D Glue Dots
Ribbon

Punch out 2 scallop pieces of colored paper. Punch out 2 circles of white paper. Stamp the image on both of the white circles. Color in the image you stamped. We used Copic Markers. Glue the white circle to the colored scallop. Using the large glue dot make a sandwich with the 2 scallops and the paperclip in the middle. Cut a small piece of ribbon to tie on the side of the paperclip.

Cookie Bouquets

I use Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix and follow the directions for the roll out cookies. When you roll out the cookies you want to keep them thick. Roll them out to about 1/2 inch thickness.

I use a 3 inch round cutter to make the circle. The cookies will expand when baked. Insert the cookie stick before cooking. To insert the stick turn while inserting the stick about 3/4 of the way into the cookie.

Bake about 18 - 20  minutes till golden brown.

Be careful not to burn yourself! Ouch!

Let the cookies cool about 5 minutes on the pan before
transferring them to a cooling rack.

When the cookies are completely cooled frost them. I like to make a powdered sugar glaze as a base. Then I frost them with color on top.

Insert them into a styrofoam base in a clay flower pot. Add some other decorations to the outside of the pot.

Voila! A beautiful cookie bouquet!

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

I used Candi-Quik and Strawberry Marshmallows. Melt the chocolate and dip the bottoms. Put some melted chocolate in a small zip lock baggie. Cut a very small corner off the bag. Drizzle over the marshmallows to decorate. Saw this idea on www.thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com.

Fabric Covered Memo Board
Materials Needed for 11x14
- 1/3 yd fabric
- Magnetic sheet / sign (I bought mine at the a dollar store)
- 11x14 Picture Frame
- Glue gun

**Optional - Ephiany Tool to make custom magnets

First cover the sign with fabric using glue gun to secure the edges of the fabric to the metal.

Magnetic memo board from dollar store

Secure the fabric to the board with a glue gun.

Place the fabric covered board in the picture frame.

To make the custom magnets

I used the Epiphany tool I bought at Archiver's. It is primarily used to make embellishments.

I stamped the image on paper then made the "button" using the tool. I then hot glued a magnet to the back of the "button".

Very easy and fun project!
